Jamieson Haverkampf had always thought she’d author a fiction novel. In 2007, however, fate brought her down a different road. In August of that year, Jaimison was thrown an unexpected curve ball when her sixty-two-year old father died. While processing her own personal grief, Jaimison also found herself in the caregiver role for her mother, who lived 3,000 miles away. Jaimison was about to embark upon a journey that would change her entire life.
